Hooking Up Blue Ray Visio to Visio Televisio
Use this article to learn about Netflix features on your Vizio TV, Blu-ray player, or home theater system. If you don't know if your device supports Netflix, follow the steps in the "Set Up Netflix" section.
Netflix is available on many Vizio devices. Streaming features on supported devices include:

Netflix is available on Vizio TVs and Blu-ray players in the United States and Canada.

On most devices, you can browse through rows of TV shows and movies, including a row dedicated to your My List selections. Each row represents a category such as comedies, dramas, or TV shows that we show you based on what you've watched.
Most devices can stream Netflix in high definition on fast internet connections and will play Netflix in their maximum supported resolution.
You can set parental controls on individual profiles.
Learn how to turn on subtitles, closed captions, and alternate audio (including 5.1 surround sound), which are available on many TV shows and movies. Many devices let you choose the appearance of subtitles and captions. Some devices display subtitles and captions in their default appearance, or aren't set up to display subtitles.

Vizio TVs (2018 or newer models)
To connect your Vizio TV, Blu-ray player or home theater system to your Netflix account, make sure you are on the Home screen and select the option below that best describes your device.
Please note that Netflix is only available on Vizio TVs and Blu-ray players in the United States and Canada.
If you have a Netflix button on your Vizio remote

Press the Netflix button on your remote.

Select Sign In.

If you do not see Sign In, select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.

If you are not yet a member, set up your membership.

Enter your Netflix email address and password.

Select Sign In.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.
To start over or sign in with a different email address at any point during this process, use the arrow keys on your controller to enter the following sequence: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up Select Sign Out, Start Over, or Deactivate.
If you see the Netflix icon on-screen

Select the Netflix icon.

Select Sign In.

If you do not see Sign In, select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.

Enter your Netflix email address and password.

Select Sign In.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

If you have a large V button in the center of your Vizio remote

Press the Vizio Internet Apps button on your remote (located immediately beneath the red, yellow, green, and blue buttons, below the arrow buttons).

Select the Netflix app.

Press Ok.

Select Sign In.

If you do not see Sign In, select Yes on the Are you a member of Netflix? screen.

If you are not yet a member, set up your membership.

Enter your Netflix email address and password.

Select Sign In.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

If you have a TV with Chromecast built-in

Launch the Play Store on the tablet that came with your TV.

Tap the magnifying glass in the upper right corner.

Search for Netflix.

Tap the Netflix app in the list.

Tap Free and then OK.

The installation is complete when the notification bar at the top of the screen displays Successfully Installed Netflix.

Exit the Play Store.

Find and launch the Netflix app.

Enter your Netflix email and password.

Once you're signed in, select the Cast icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Select your Vizio TV from the list to launch the Netflix app on your TV.
Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.
Note:
Netflix is not compatible with the Vizio SmartCast app. To use Netflix with your Vizio TV with Chromecast built-in, you will need to use the Netflix app from the Play Store.
If your TV or Blu-ray player came with a remote
To sign out of the Netflix account on your device, follow these steps.
Begin from the Netflix Home screen. To open the menu, navigate left and select Get Help. If you don't see Get Help, navigate up and select Settings or the Settings icon . Select Sign out. Select Yes to confirm. If you don't see Get Help, Settings, or the Settings icon: From within the Netflix app, use the arrows on your remote to enter the following sequence: Select Sign out, Start Over, Deactivate, or Reset.
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up.
If your TV came with a tablet

Launch the Netflix app on your tablet.

Select the Menu icon. This will either appear as in the upper left corner or in the upper right corner.

Select Sign Out.

Confirm that you would like to sign out of your account.
Netflix is available in Ultra HD on most Vizio Ultra HD TVs. To stream in Ultra HD, you will need:
A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD. A 2014 or newer Ultra HD TV with the Netflix app that is capable of streaming Ultra HD content at 60 Hz. A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher. Streaming quality set to Auto or High.
Netflix is available in Dolby Vision on select Vizio TVs. To stream in Dolby Vision, you will need:
A smart TV that supports either Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Netflix. If you're using an HDR-capable Blu-ray player, you'll need to connect it to an HDR-capable smart TV via an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2 or later (usually the HDMI 1 port.) A Netflix plan that supports streaming in Ultra HD. A steady internet connection speed of 15 megabits per second or higher. Streaming quality set to Auto or High.
